Our Functions
The State Bureau of Statistics (SBS) is the central agency responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating statistical data in Sokoto State. It provides accurate and timely information to support evidence-based planning, policy formulation, and decision-making across all sectors.
SBS coordinates with MDAs, development partners, and other stakeholders to ensure data consistency and reliability. The Bureau also conducts surveys, compiles reports, and builds capacity in data management to enhance transparency, accountability, and sustainable development in the State.
