Our Functions
The State Operations Coordinating Unit (SOCU) is responsible for identifying and maintaining a reliable database of poor and vulnerable households in Sokoto State. It works under the National Social Safety Nets Programme (NASSP) to support targeted interventions aimed at reducing poverty and improving social welfare.
SOCU ensures that data collection follows standardized procedures and supports the equitable distribution of social assistance. The Unit collaborates with local communities, MDAs, and development partners to promote inclusion, transparency, and efficiency in social protection programs.
