The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Sokoto, under the leadership of the newly appointed Commissioner, Hon. Dr. Abubakar M. Zayyana, PhD, CNA, FHEA, CMgr, hosted a strategic meeting with iMMAP on Wednesday 8th January 2024 to strengthen international collaboration.

The discussions underscored the vital role of data collection and analysis in empowering the Bureau of Statistics and other state departments to drive evidence-based decision-making for economic growth. iMMAP committed to providing staff training for the Bureau of Statistics and other departments on information management, data collection, and analysis, as well as offering internship opportunities to Sokoto’s youth to foster skill development and innovation.

This transformative partnership was formalized with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
